Hello, Lovine.com | Photo | 2010 | Bohol
- It was my first time to visit the beautiful island of Bohol, crammed in an action packed sequence of events that barely fit themselves into the (less than) 24 hour framework. Then again, I never really expect less than epic (mis)adventures when I hang with the KQ. Epic, indeed.
I had a few days to burn before the Tan-Puno Grand Party, and decided against all common sense to take a morning flight out of Manila despite the lingering storm cell trying to dampen our spirits. Of course, I took it upon myself to trust KQ's judgment that the weather was perfect a few hundred miles away, and that it would be really awesome.
There is nothing like moving via scooter. I fell in love with the machine back in the Stateside, but it was no surprise to me the joy that I feel when I twist the throttle. It is such an amazing mode of transport that allows you to be so much more closer to the earth and to the surroundings you pass. The tactile, the visual, the smell. All of which pastiche into a movement more organic than sitting inside an upholstered, air-conditioned can.
Pondered on the origins of the Chocolate Hills, chased some butterflies, befriended a few tiny monkeys, managed to stay alive (oh God), and finally sang my heart out whilst drowning in Red Horse with the best cover band in town, trying to make sense of it all. Chalk one up for epic.
And here we are, everyday, seeing all that is beautiful. :)
