- The plan was to make it up to Portland in 4 days of riding. By the second day, it became obvious we had too much time on our hands, and so our goal was pushed further up to hit the northern bounds of Washington state, riding up to the border if we could make it.
Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to make it up north of Seattle, although we did complete the entire length of highway 101, and made it up to the northwestern most point in the lower 48.
